The First, which is situated in the European quarter, in prestigious Square Orban with its park, is a perfect example of a redevelopment project that aims to achieve an excellent technical performance.
The First is a 8-story office building comprising 9,810 sq m of lettable area aboveground as well as 4 underground levels comprising 1,964 sq m archive area, 50 parking units and 29 bicycle spaces. The building will be completely renovated between 2021 and 2023. The works will include a complete refurbishment of the facades and techniques, as well as an increase in volume created by adding two office floors on the levels +6 and +7.
There is a strong focus on sustainability as the project is carbon neutral and has a rear façade which is entirely covered in solar panels that will be esthetically integrated in the building. A garden situated inside the courtyard also acting as a green roof will promote biodiversity and drain rainwater.
The Antarès complex is located in the green commune of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. It consists of two buildings: Antarès A & B, with a total surface area of approximately 12,500 m². The future development will offer quality housing, accessible to a wide public. It also fits in with the urban planning process initiated by the Brussels Capital region, which aims to transform the area into a mixed, lively and accessible urban centre.
An ambitious project that aligns with the district's regeneration
The current building was constructed in 1968 and has undergone several renovations since. It comprises 8,471 m² of office space, 552 m² of archives and 35 parking spaces, shared between 2 buildings.
Eaglestone aims to be part of the dynamic supported by the City of Brussels to revitalise one of the capital's most famous districts and boost its assets through an ambitious redevelopment programme that contributes to the resurgence of Rue Royale.
The Royal 138's service function will be maintained in at least one part of the building, namely that which runs down Rue Royale. Different options are currently being explored to determine the function of the rest of the building along Rue de Ligne.
